Services wanted access to an up-to-date online service directory and a central place to ask questions about services.
With funding extended to June 2024 there are plenty of opportunities to provide further Workshops in other locations convenient for Rise tenants.
More tenants will have the opportunity to deepen their understanding of their rights and their responsibilities.
The forum heard from the Lived Experience Team on the challenges of renting and laid out practical solutions to make renting fair for all Western Australians.
Ensuring everybody has access to a home that meets their needs is one of the key themes of the forum.
The workshop will provide information about the Residential Tenancies Act in Plain English and will signpost tenants to relevant supports.
Knowing this history means they can take a trauma informed approach and better understand the support needs of each family.
The Ministerial Council is led by Disability Services Minister Don Punch.
Some ideas that came from the working group included developing a flyer and brochure.
