Mid-Year Economic and Fiscal Outlook

The Mid-Year Economic and Fiscal Outlook (MYEFO) updates the economic and fiscal outlook from the previous budget.

The MYEFO also accounts all decisions made since the release of the budget which affect expenses and revenue and therefore, revises the budget aggregates. This briefing will predominantly focus on the economic outlook section of the MYEFO where housing is featured the most.

Economic outlook

The economic outlook forecasts how well the economy is expected to perform based on key economic indicators. These forecasts are revisions from the Pre-Election Economic and Fiscal Outlook (PEFO). The below table provides the key economic indicators sighted in the economic outlook and the revision from the PEFO.
