Community Housing Opportunities

New research shows how social and affordable housing could be delivered and managed more efficiently by the Community Housing Sector under a partnership model with government.

The Community Housing Sector Growth Opportunities: Collaboration between Government and Industry to Drive Supply report, commissioned by Shelter WA and funded by the National Housing Finance and Investment Corporation, highlights how collaboration with community housing sector, can leverage government investment to drive the supply of new social and affordable homes.

There are seven recommendations in the report, ranging from government policy changes to unlock the value of community housing to project structures and delivery methods to support a collaborative approach to drive new supply.

Shelter WA will work with our Industry Strategy Group to drive the report’s recommendations.
