For Shelter WA, Ben has made an immediate impression. He was offered and has accepted a paid role as a Project Support Officer to allow him to continue his work on the ACHO Capacity Building Project outside of the internship period.
The visits were crucial to understanding the capacity gaps of the Aboriginal Community Housing Organisations sector in WA and with the individual four organisations.
The project will focus on optimising the ACHO’s current assets, build on their professionalism and through a peer-to-peer learning approach build collective capability supported by the technical expertise shared across the organisations.
