National Shelter Budget Submissions

National Shelter has submitted their budget submission to the Federal Treasurer calling for;

• investment in new social housing via the Social Housing Acceleration and Renovation Program (SHARP),
• an Affordable Rental Incentive,
• funding a national head-leasing program to rehouse temporarily housed people experiencing homelessness,
• increases to Commonwealth Rent Assistance and Commonwealth funding for the Equal Remuneration Order.
