The report contains the section ‘The Role of Housing Costs in Driving Poverty’ which focuses on how financially vulnerable people are forced to make spending decisions on really tight margins with little or no discretionary income.
Figures released last month showed that at least 56 people died while homeless in Perth in 2020.
This fifteenth report in BCEC’s Focus on WA series builds on the Centre’s earlier reports into Housing Affordability and finds that housing affordability has improved in Western Australia but this improvement has been uneven.
