National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Housing Association

Open to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander organisations with housing as a principle mission and service

National Shelter has participated in several meetings to help guide the formation of the National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Housing Association (NATSIHA). National Shelter won’t be eligible to be a member of NATSIHA but has already provided for a seat at its table for the emerging peak body for First Peoples’ Housing.

Led by the indefatigable Ivan Simon, the process has now developed its constitution, rules and objectives. NATSIHA will be open to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander organisations with housing as a principle mission and service, and will also encourage associate members who may not be housing providers but who are concerned with the provision of housing for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
