Ministerial Visit

Shelter WA was pleased to meet with Simone McGurk MLA, Minister for Child Protection; Women’s Interests; Prevention of Family and Domestic Violence; Community Services, and congratulate her on reappointment to this critical portfolio area.

All Paths Lead to a Home: Western Australia’s 10-Year Strategy on Homelessness 2020–2030 (the Strategy), developed through her leadership and in partnership with the sector, has supported important evidence based initiatives such as the housing first support services which are delivering significant outcomes across the state.

Shelter WA looks forward to working with the Minister in her second term to further implement the strategy and to realise our common goal to end homelessness.
