Infrastructure WA External Reference Group Meeting

Infrastructure WA held the second meeting of their External Stakeholders Reference Group.

Shelter WA is a member of the external group along with property sector peaks including the Urban Development Institute of Australia (UDIA) the Housing Industry Association (HIA), the Master Builders Association (MBA), the Property Council and WACOSS.

Community Housing Sector

A meeting with Shelter WA, the Community Housing Agreement Community Housing Providers (CHA CHOS) and the IWA leadership team has been scheduled to inform the State Infrastructure Strategy and how the community housing sector can be harnessed to drive and deliver the outcomes sought from the strategy.

Deputy Chair of Infrastructure Australia Nicole Lockwood facilitated the workshop where attendees collaborated in small groups and brainstormed various build and non-build infrastructure responses to the key strategic opportunities. Shelter WA will meet again with the group before the release of the draft Strategy in June 2021.
