By-Name List Data – May 2023

The latest By-Name List data is out.

For the Perth metropolitan area, it shows for the month of May 2023, a total of 1,033 people were sleeping rough or temporarily sheltered, including 136 newly identified people.

46 per cent of people on the list had case management support, and 11 people were placed into permanent housing.

While there appears to be an upward trend in the number of people experiencing homelessness, the data shows it’s linked to the closure and reopening of The Ruah Engagement Hub (previously the Ruah Centre). Ruah’s new data contributed a significant amount of data in May and April.
