At Beyond Bank, we think it is important for all Australians to have a place to call home. We’ve made Australia’s housing shortage one of our priorities, and it’s why we work in partnership with many frontline housing providers.
Through grants, sponsorships and our Community Reward Account program, we support organisations like Youth Futures to care for young people experiencing homelessness.
By sponsoring their Pipeline Challenge event, an epic five-day mountain biking adventure, we help them raise funds to keep their services going. Services like The Nest, that provides safe, secure accommodation for young parents aged 16-19 in the late stages of pregnancy or with an infant under the age of two.
Youth Futures rely heavily on fundraising from the Pipeline Challenge Event and other donations. In 2020 they supported over 2,800 young people with housing, education, meals and emergency hampers, enabling around 20,000 nights of safe sleep. Young mums like Janelle with nowhere to turn are given the opportunity to thrive.
After giving birth to a daughter, Janelle moved into a Nest property. The program also provided her food, toiletries, other essentials and a social worker to assist her with parenting and independent living skills, obtaining a driver’s licence and continuing her education. Life is looking better for Janelle, but for every person The Nest program is able to help, 10 others are turned away. It’s why helping them to fundraise is so important.
If fundraising is important to your community organisation too, talk to us about our Community Reward Account program. Together we can help you help those who need it the most.
