Ways to help the 2024 Homelessness Week Grant Recipients

On My Feet Ltd are looking for sports equipment for women  (yoga mats, skipping ropes etc) and active wear (sports bras, jogging gear etc).

Ruah are after socks, undergarments such as underwear and bras – Usually in a size M, L or XL, ponchos (such as this one ), raincoats, bags, Backpacks and drawstring bags, shampoo and conditioner, toothbrushes and toothpaste, disposable razors, deodorant, facial wipes and refreshers, and food items like Granola bars, Crackers, and dried fruit snacks etc.  

Drop off to the Engagement Hub, 247 James Street, Northbridge or phone 13 78 24.

Outcare –  are specifically  looking for the following items for a client who has just moved into housing with no belongings:   

    • washing machine 
    • fridge 
    • couch and 
    • microwave

Drop off to Level 2, 631 Karel Ave Jandakot.

This comes highly recommended as a one stop directory/resource to donate to and is a resource used by a lot of case workers to try and get households good such as furniture for their clients.

West Aus Crisis and Welfare Services Mandurah – Donations are welcomed before Thursday at their office, Suite 3, Lotteries House, 7 Anzac Place Mandurah, or come to their event on Thursday and look for the marquee, they need toiletries urgently (unopened please, all genders) for Rough Sleeping Showers, as well as sleeping bags, warm good quality jackets, men’s shoes, tents, swags, gloves and socks and other warm items you might need when camping (under a bridge or on the beach). Need nappies for parents with children who are sleeping in their cars, formula that is unopened and in date, non perishable goods, tea, coffee, sugar, biodegradable take away cups, reusable coffee cups, thermoses, and online financial donations are extremely welcome via PayPal on the website. westauscrisis.org 

In Mandurah they are hosting an event on Thursday 8th August and calling for donations (financial and physical donations welcome) for rough sleeping (sleeping bags, toiletries etc). They rely on donations for their service.

Will accept financial and physical charitable donations, NYFL Supermarket catered to be affordable to locals, also assists locals furnish/ refurbish homes.
