Household Energy Efficiency Scheme

The first phase of the $13 million Household Energy Efficiency Scheme (HEES) is now being rolled out.

Two pilot programs, one in Perth and the other in Port Hedland, will initially assist 80 households to improve their household energy efficiency through energy coaching and upgrade packages including LED globes and draught stoppers. The program is being delivered in partnership between non-government organisations, Synergy, Horizon Power and Energy Policy WA.

Over a four year period, the program expects to assist 10,000 vulnerable WA households to reduce their living costs through low tech energy efficiency upgrades.
