WA Peer Supporters Network: Joining peer support networks or advocacy groups can offer meaningful connections, mentorship, and guidance. WA Peer Supporters Network have resources and networking opportunities.
Peer Pathways: If you would like to talk to someone about how to get emotional or mental health support, you can reach out to Peer Pathways on 9477 2809. They will take the time to help you find the service that you need. They are not pushy.
Mental Health and Well-being
Consumers of Mental Health Western Australia (COMHWA): Mental health support services can help you maintain well-being while working in a challenging job. COMHWA can guide you with more information.
Lifeline: Lifeline is there for us when we need someone to talk to. You can call them on 13 11 14 or you can use web chat if you prefer not to talk. The link to their webchat can be found here.
Financial Counsellors
Finding it hard to budget and cover your costs? You can call the National Debt Helpline: 1800 007 007. They can help you come up with a plan. You can also call or visit your local Financial Counsellor or look up their address on their website here. A financial counsellor can help you talk with your landlord, bill issuers or bank. This is a free service.
Accommodation Support
Entry Point: If you don’t have a secure place to live and need emergency or transitional accommodation, you can contact Entry Point on 6496 0001 or 1800 124 684 They will ask you questions over the phone about your situation and they will let you know if there is any accommodation available.
Legal Support
Circle Green Community Legal: Circle Green Community Legal is an independent, not-for-profit community legal centre based in central Perth. Circle Green provide a state-wide telephone advice service – you can fill out a form to ask for help here, and the team at Circle Green will get back to you.
You can call the team 6148 3636 between 9:30am-3:30pm on weekdays.
Community Legal WA: Community Legal Centres help everyday people and people experiencing discrimination and disadvantage with a range of problems, which means they don’t spiral out of control or create other problems. You can find your nearest Community Legal Centre here.
Street Law Centre WA: Street Law is a free outreach legal service for the homeless and those at risk of homelessness in Western Australia. You can find them here or call them Tuesday to Friday from 10.00am – 2.00pm on 1800 752 992.
