New members are welcome for 2026/27

When you become a Shelter WA member you are part of a strong, collective voice.  Collectively you help to shape the policy and advocacy agenda and lead the change.

Our members are diverse and include industry, emergency and supported housing; community housing providers; cooperatives; housing, homelessness and tenancy support services; local governments; urban planners and architects; research institutions; academics; and individuals with a dedication and enthusiasm for social and affordable housing and ending homelessness.

At Shelter WA we regularly review member benefits, taking into consideration feedback received from current members. A summary of the current member benefits is listed below the membership options and application process. In addition you will find an option to download the detailed Shelter WA Membership Benefits document that includes detailed benefits for all three tiers of membership.

Our Shelter membership provides us with information and multiple resources, which is of immense value to a small regional housing provider.  Shelter’s work linking community housing organisations during Covid-19 acutely demonstrates their value to the housing and homelessness sectors.

If ever there was a time to join Shelter WA it is now. Responding to WA’s perilous housing system requires a broad and thoughtful response; Shelter WA delivers that and more. Anglicare WA is proud to be a member.

Shelter WA membership connects and builds on the strengths of a community which is determined to find ways to provide homes and provide supports for people less fortunate. It is a privilege to stand beside homeless people to advocate change and with other Shelter WA members to develop solutions.

Shelter has delivered a strong and consistent voice for the community housing sector and provides an invaluable link between housing and homelessness in their advocacy, collaboration and capacity building work.  As large community housing provider, Shelter membership allows us to be part of this voice and to access the bank of knowledge that emerges.
