Homelessness Services Coordination and Management of COVID-19 Funding to Support a Health Response

COVID-19 scheme sector briefing.

Shelter WA in partnership with the Western Australian Council of Social Service (WACOSS) secured funding from the Department of Health to support the housing and homelessness sector to provide safe accommodation, health, and wellness support to better coordinate, manage and support the treatment of vulnerable people who experience homelessness in response to COVID-19.

Scheme Extension

In response to sector feedback and discussions with the Department of Health, the scheme has been extended and better targeted to address the health response.

This briefing will provide an overview of changes and funding streams to support the high quality and safe care of individuals in response to COVID-19, including support to respond to or manage COVID-19 outbreaks, and to future proof organisations so that that they can better assist in the treatment and management of COVID-19 positive people.

This project has been made possible by co-funding through the National Partnership Agreement on COVID-19 Response (NPCR) funding.

Who is eligible for support?

Not-for-profit Community Housing or Homelessness Services that hold a WA Government contract. The expenditure of funding must be for activity directly related to the treatment and management of COVID-19. Apply here.

We look forward to welcoming you to the sector briefing. For further information please contact Kika von Roretz at Shelter WA on kika.vonroretz@shelterwa.org.au.
