It’s estimated that over 9,000 Western Australia will experience homelessness tonight
Homelessness is experiencing when people do not have a place to call home. Homelessness is often associated with rough sleeping on the street or in a car, but homelessness also includes couch surfing, staying in boarding houses or other short-term accommodations.
The WA Government released All Path’s Lead to a Home: Western Australia’s 10-Year Strategy on Homelessness 2020-2030. Built on the work of the WA Alliance to End Homelessness and developed through the Supporting Communities Forum Homelessness Working Group, this strategy provides the framework for a collective response to ending homelessness. It ensures that the State Government meets its obligations under the National Housing and Homelessness Agreement, which requires all jurisdictions to develop a homelessness strategy.
