Social and Affordable Housing
IWA’s role is to advise the WA Government and assist state agencies on infrastructure matters and to develop the State Infrastructure Strategy. Shelter WA was pleased to make a submission to IWA highlighting the critical importance of social and affordable housing infrastructure and the benefits of the community housing sector to housing supply and management.
The meeting was presented with key sectors of interest from submissions and we were pleased that social and affordable housing is a top priority along with energy, transport, and digital connectivity. Infrastructure WA are keen to understand more about the strengths of the community housing sector and Shelter WA will progress this discussion in partnership with the community housing sector. A summary report from IWA is expected to be released before the end of 2020.
