Join Shelter WA and other sector leaders in an online discussion to explore the economic impacts of COVID-19.
We will review the responsibilities, impacts and opportunities for community organisations, housing providers and homelessness services.
We will discuss the impact of COVID-19 on WA’s economy in the short and long term and how housing supply can play a critical role in stimulating our State’s economic and social recovery. We will look at the recent Social Housing Recovery Package announced by the McGowan Government and discuss how this can be leveraged to garner the expertise of the community housing sector.
The social and economic recovery of WA is critical and the recovery phase of COVID-19 presents an opportunity for all West Australians to have housing that enables them to thrive.
Confirmed panelists include leading economist Saul Eslake and Professor Hal Pawson.
We look forward to you joining us for this important discussion. We particularly encourage CEO’s, executive leadership teams, board members and people with an interest in housing policy solutions to attend.
We invite you to share this event with others as we work together to navigate the future.
