Journey Mapping for Scenario Planning Workshop – Lived Experience
Tuesday 4th August 2020
The uncertainty surrounding what will happen when JobKeeper and JobSeeker payments cease is becoming increasingly unknown. The impact is twofold for those who were employed pre-COVID who receive the new payments and for those who once struggled on Newstart but can now survive on the higher paying JobSeeker allowance.
When these allowances end during the recovery phase the risk of homelessness and housing insecurity is set to increase.
People that have lived experience of homelessness or housing insecurity, service providers, government agency representatives and community members to a morning workshop, helped to inform The Department of communities recovery plan for when JobKeeper and JobSeeker allowances cease.
