General Manager Update
From Lara Connor: We’re working closely with the community services sector to ensure services can continue to be delivered to vulnerable community members. Keep an eye out for special edition Bulletins from Community Services Procurement Policy (CSPP) with timely updates. If you have any questions regarding your community services contracts, please contact us.
State Commissioning Strategy
The State Commissioning Strategy for Community Services implementation plan is being developed and will be submitted to Cabinet in the near future. If you have any queries, please email CSPP.
Compliance with Legislation
In line with clause 15 of the General Provisions for the Purchase of Community Services, service providers need to comply with all State and Commonwealth laws that are relevant to their service agreement. It is important to keep up with changing or new requirements.
Work Health and Safety
The Work Health and Safety Act 2020 is being introduced in March 2022 and will apply to the community services sector.
Children and Community Services
The Children and Community Services Amendment Act 2021 will come into effect on 1 May 2022, strengthening the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander child placement principle and implementing the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse Recommendations.
We recently participated in a Give Write drive, with our staff donating new and pre-loved school stationery to WA children in need. Give Write is a not-for-profit organisation that helps local families, promotes recycling and encourages children to enjoy school.
