Project Officer HOME
Trish is passionate about making sure unheard voices are heard and implemented in the systemic solutions needed to end homelessness.
She has been working as a Lived Experience Consultant in non-designated and designated lived experience roles with Shelter since 2018.
Having trained as an early childhood teacher Trish can break down large concepts into smaller digestible chunks for people to understand. Have you ever taught a three-year-old to wash their hand – it’s not such a simple task!
A strength of being vulnerable and courageous, Trish is keen to make sure individuals are heard in the changes that impact them. Having facilitated the voices of individuals to be heard in law reforms, including the Mental health Act (2014) and the Residential Tenancy Act (1987) Trish is keen to continue this work in the HOME Project by continuing the work to have voices of people with lived and living experiences of housing insecurity and homelessness heard throughout the sector.
Trish would very much like her dog to be the Shelter office dog.
