Elise is passionate about ending homelessness through collective impact, participatory community engagement, and creating healthy, inclusive, and just environments where people of all ages, abilities, and cultures can thrive.
Elise brings over 15 years of experience in systems change and creative, collaborative solutions to her role as the Manager for the Hear of My Experience (HOME) project. A long-time advocate for social and environmental justice with a Master’s in Urban and Regional Planning, Elise has a background in co-design and access and inclusion planning. Her skills and experience include leadership, project management, research and professional writing, graphic design, illustration and animation, policy development, coaching, and presenting.
She will be working with a co-design team of people with lived experience of homelessness and housing insecurity to engage with government, the community sector, and the broader community, as well as inform housing and homelessness policy and advocacy. The project aims to support and build the capacity of people with lived experience by establishing a Lived Experience Peer Education Support Project, Engagement and Co-Design Toolkit, Speakers Bureau, Advisory Council, Immersive Tours, and Phase Two of the Street to Street arts project.
