For ‘not for profit’ agencies such as homelessness service providers, community housing organisations or other agencies whose work touches on housing and homelessness. Other memberships include Individual and Associate.
Applications will be put to the Shelter WA board for review once both steps have been completed.
We believe in a world where everyone has a home where they can thrive and build a future. Western Australia needs an effective housing system that works for all of us. Together, Shelter WA members are leading the change, ensuring all spheres of government, industry and the community understand that everybody has a right to a place to call home.
Our members are diverse and include industry, emergency and supported housing; community housing providers; co-operatives; housing, homelessness and tenancy support services; local governments; urban planners and architects; research institutions; academics; and individuals with a passion for social and affordable housing and ending homelessness.
Membership Applications
Upon completion of a membership application – this will be considered by the Shelter WA board for approval as per the Constitution. Please note the Board generally meets on a monthly basis. Applicants will be advised by email as to whether their application has been successful.
If the application has been approved the fee will cover 12 months membership (1 July to 20 June – or quarterly prorata) and this is non-refundable.
If not, applicants will be contacted to receive feedback on the reason why if paid a refund of the membership fee will be arranged.
