Shelter WA and WACOSS are hosting a forum to explore the reform of the federation and the implications for affordable housing and homelessness services. Special guest Hon. Cheryl Edwardes, a member of the Expert Advisory Panel to the Prime Minister on the Review of the Federation, will provide further insight into the process and the opportunities it presents, followed by an open discussion forum.
This event is important as the Commonwealth Government has committed to produce, working with the States and Territories, a White Paper on the Reform of the Federation. A key discussion paper that has already been put forward is the “Roles and Responsibilities in Housing and Homelessness” within the Federation.
The outcomes of this review could have big implications for the funding and contracting of housing and homelessness services.
Please note the venue for this meeting has changed from Lotteries House in East Perth to the new address of level 2, 82 Beaufort St, Perth.
The venue is close to the train, blue cat stop. There is parking under the Perth Library and Perth Cultural Centre.
