Shelter WA, the peak body for social and affordable housing and homelessness is proud to announce the launch of the WA Housing Hub, an online platform designed to bring the WA housing sector together.
The WA Housing Hub was launched today by Greg Cash from the Department of Housing at an official event opened by The Honourable Lord Mayor Lisa Scaffidi and attended by more than 150 representatives from industry, government, community organisations and housing consumers. The website has been designed by Shelter WA to foster information sharing, generate discussion and ideas and promote collaboration and partnerships throughout the housing community. The WA Housing Hub also includes a directory of housing and homeless services and supports across WA to assist housing consumers and practitioners. According to Shelter WA’s Executive Officer, Chantal Roberts, “the launch of the WA Housing Hub is a significant step forward for Shelter WA following our successful tender bid with the Department of Housing to provide policy advice, stakeholder engagement and influencing services for the housing sector in WA over the next five years.” “For our stakeholders located across Western Australia, including those in regional and remote areas, this online platform can ensure all stakeholders can have their voices heard as we work together to promote the growth of social and affordable housing and work towards the elimination of homelessness in Western Australia.” To access the WA Housing Hub, please visit www.wahousinghub.org.au.
