Homelessness Counts Art Day - Hosted by Ruah Community Services

The Ruah Centre currently has three volunteer artists who facilitate a weekly art session with people accessing the service. The group is attended by over 20 clients. The clients so far have produced some outstanding work with plans for work to be displayed in different cafes around Perth and to be showed at an the annual art exhibition to be held in early December.

All members of the community are invited to be part of the Homelessness Counts Art Day and to find out more about homelessness. 

Thursday 4th August 

Location: Ruah Centre - 33 Shenton Street, Northbridge

Time:  9am - 2pm 

Activities planned on the day: 

  • Various art activities facilitated by volunteer artists 
  • Music
  • Oral Historian available to document the clients stories, as well as the stories behind individual art work
  • Focus group with interested clients to plan the Art Exhibition to be held later in the year
  • BBQ lunch.
